I started smoking at age 13. My friends met in a park on the Eastside, and we'd smoke a whole pack. My dad was a smoker, but he quit when I was 8. In high school, I started rolling my own cigarettes. Later, I smoked Camel non-filter or French cigarettes.
I always smoked about a pack and a half of cigarettes a day. I liked the motion of putting cigarettes to my mouth and smoking. As soon as I start feeling a little tense, I wanted to smoke. I quit at age 28 when I was pregnant, and until my son was 4 years old, I didn't let his father smoke inside.
When I started back, I would have one or two after work with others while having a beer. I worked in bars, where there were a lot of smokers. I didn't think about quitting then, except when I got bronchitis, even though my doctor advised me to do so. But I didn't.

It is extremely difficult to overcome the bad habit of smoking is because a feeling of pleasure is derived from doing so. Smoking is considered the worst of all bad habits observed and identified. In the aspect of addiction, smoking is considered worse than cocaine and responsible for millions of deaths each year. Campaigns against smoking are made by serious anti-smoking advocates, but most smokers do not seem to reflect at all.
When smokers do still feel irregularities in the functioning of their body system, they will not accept the dangers of their habits are exposed and tend to ignore the dangers easily. Once they start having health problems, then and only then will they become aware of their health....
