What is better Quicken or Quickbooks?
I have been using Quicken and can never get it to balance. Is Quickbooks any better or easier? Any other suggestions?

Jan 29, 2012 (El Paso Times - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Former El Pasoan Alan Tifford has gained some exposure recently by being featured in national TV commercials and magazine ads for one of Turbo Tax's latest products -- a smartphone application, which he helped design, for preparing and filing tax returns in minutes.
"It's pretty cool," Tifford said of the ads. "It's great Intuit (his employer) has chosen to feature employees" in a marketing campaign, Tifford said last week from his San Diego office at Intuit's TurboTax headquarters, where he's a software designer.
Tifford is principal interaction designer for mobile projects at TurboTax, which makes top-selling tax-preparation software.
Is Intuit on a Slow Slide to Oblivion?
I've been a big fan of Intuit for a long period. I used Quicken through the 90 and thought as the absolute model of the software easy to use for consumption should be. My first two businesses started using QuickBooks. I even gave some of Turbo Tax and other ancillary products a whirl. Intuit has been one of the few companies that actually compete with Microsoft (MS Money) and by most accounts, appears to be the winner of the category.
However, like most packaged software, you have to wonder if Intuit will make the transition of their business model to something more sustainable. I do not have any information inside, and I do not think the fall will be fast, but you can see the erosion in progress.
